A margin is not
a markup.
Adding 30% to a $10 cost gives a $13 price. The $3 left over is only 23.1% of that price, even before selling fees.
To aim for a 30% margin, the calculation must start with the share of the price that remains available for costs.
Price = production cost + fixed fee1 − fee rate − margin rate
Production cost includes materials + packaging + labour + your other costs.
For example: $10 of included cost, a $0.30 fixed fee, 8% selling fees and a 30% target margin give a target price of $16.62, rounded up.

Does the calculator send my numbers anywhere?
The calculation runs in your browser. This page does not upload or save your inputs, use analytics scripts or set tracking cookies. The hosting provider may process normal request information to serve the site. Emailing feedback shares what you send with the operator and email provider.
Is this an Etsy, Shopify or marketplace fee calculator?
No. You enter the effective fee assumptions for your own selling channel. Marketplace fees can depend on country, shipping, taxes, advertising and order size. Verify those with your provider. The example percentages are illustrative and do not represent any platform's current fees.
What about tax, waste and wholesale prices?
The calculator does not calculate tax or accounting profit. Include an appropriate per-item allocation for waste, overhead and shipping in Other cost. Run a separate calculation for each channel, including wholesale, with that channel's fees and your chosen margin. Currency selection labels the inputs; it does not convert them.
